Mogwai: A Wrenched Virile Lore

by juicyfrog

the release of the day goes to Mogwai, with a new remix album called A Wrenched Virile Lore.
you may accuse the best scottish post-rock band to release albums too swiftly, but they are the indisputable masters of the most incredible and mysterious titles!

according to the band’s label, Rock Action Records the tracklist gathers remixes of the excellent Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. Tim Hecker, The Soft Moon and the very talented RM Hubbert (among others) participated in the project.

George Square Thatcher Death Party – (Justin K Broadrick Reshape)
Rano Pano – Klad Hest (Mogwai is My Dick RMX)
White Noise (EVP Mix by Cylob)
How To Be A Werewolf – (Xander Harris remix)
Letters To The Metro – (Zombi remix)
Mexican Grand Prix – (reworked by RM Hubbert)
Rano Pano (Tim Hecker remix)
San Pedro – (The Soft Moon remix)
Too Raging To Cheers – (Umberto remix)
La Mort Blanche – (Robert Hampson remix)

if you’re racked with doubt regarding this closing title, look for the very first title track of Hardcore Will Die

you may listen to the whole album via spotifiy and click here to listen to the reshape of George Square Thatcher Death Party.
we’re not very sure this new remix album will rank with the excellent 2001 Kicking A Dead Pig, but there’s no reason to deny ourselves a little treat.
