Quai de l’Exil

on 13rd may, Oiseaux-Tempête will release another quintessential, apodictic record entitled UNWORKS & RARITIES, announced by Sub Rosa as the first volume of a series compiling unreleased and miscellaneous pieces from the band.

Quai de l’Exil is the first excerpt of this new much anticipated album, with guest appearance of Christine Ott (ondes martenot), Sylvain Joasson (percussions), Jean-Michel Pirès (drums) and again, the fantastic G.W.Sok.

we just can’t wait.

Vertigo Flowers

echoing our last take-cover post, Nothing has confirmed the release of their second album Tired of Tomorrow on 13th may on Relapse Records.

the video of their first single named Vertigo Flowers, directed by Don Argott, promises (again) fantastic shoegazing and coloured themes. this very spring will be an amazing one, oh yes.

Heebie Jeebies

groaarr, pantherinae are back!

Papier Tigre have just announced the release of The Screw, their third album (follow-up of the outstanding Recreation released in 2012), on Murailles Music and Function Records. the band shared today their first video and track entitled Heebie Jeebies, which video was directed by Vincent Pouplard, with G. Um Tegue in the role of the dancer.

The Screw is expected on 29th april in the french riviera and in april in the rest of the world. announced as “wilder, avidly literate, fiercely melodic, yet eagerly restrained”, it will contain 9 songs and this first excerpt is a a genuine example of Papier Tigre’s raw and growling sound.

Chelsea Wolfe at NPR

the bewitching Chelsea Wolfe visited NPR’s Tiny Desk to offer us a wonder beyond words.

taken from her unspeakable metallic beauty entitled Abyss released last year, three magnificent songs (Maw, Crazy Love and Iron Moon) epitomise with gracefulness Chelsea Wolfe’s music and magic darkness, in which lonesomeness has a place of honour.

a genuine blessing.
