Near To The Wild Heart Of Life with Japandroids

oh boy, 2017 will augur well. the fantastic Japandroids plan to offer us a vibrant new start of the year under the form of a third album, Near to the Wild Heart of Life, highly expected on 27th january via ANTI-.

like Post-Nothing (2009) and Celebration Rock (2012), the album will contain 8 songs. the band explains that  “this is because 8 songs is the standard template for a great rock’n roll album: Raw Power by The Stooges, Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen, Marquee Moon by Television, IV by Led Zeppelin, Horses by Patti Smith, Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Remain In Light by Talking Heads, Master Of Puppets by Metallica, etc.”

the band has just started a comprehensive tour, first Mexico and Australia, and from 2017 on, USA and Europe (april 22nd in berlin). the complete schedule is here and you can pre-order Near To The Wild Heart Of Life alongside the eponymous 7” on Anti- website directly.
